Slot Red Drum for the effort
Some Cape Fear Striped Bass were willing to play for a while yesterday.  The trip started around 1 o'clock and within the first 30mins Glenn had a nice one.  After casting on several different spots we decided to give trolling a chance and Jesse got one.  We went back over the spot and Brian (not pictured) got one.  We threw down the trolling motor and ended up with 6 Striped Bass and one Red Drum for the day.  If the fishing on Wrightsville Beach slows down the best bet is to hit the Cape Fear River.  You never know what is waiting.  And that cold snap turned them on for sure.  Saw lots of bait and fish busting the surface in places as the sun was setting.  Call me and let's go fishing.
