Winter is offically here in my book. Christmas tree is up and the ocean water temp is below 60 degs. I have watched the ocean temperature, at Wrightsville Beach, fall over the last 3 days and I don't like it. This usally means it is cold outside. And it has been cold over the last three days mid 40's during the day and mid 20's overnight. O, but the good things about winter are the boat ramps aren't as crowded and Striped Bass seem to love the first few cold snaps. The redfish school up in the surf and speckled trout ball up for the winter. Sea Bass stack up thick and the Groupers are close to the beach. Get out there if ya dare.
